Janis - Alternative Rock / Post Punk (Bln) @Tacheles

Janis is the screeching and kicking child of four sound-nomads who have left their homes in Israel, Spain, Germany and the UK in order to start forging their mixture of cold, 80´s inspired Post-Punk, Alternative Rock and Heavy-Psych sounds. It is as relentless and heterogenous as the city where it´s created since 2018 – Berlin.
Urban alienation, yearning and fury fill every note created by Boris (ex- Totenwald), Rafa (Barana, Ondo), Can and Chris (Caustic Minds). The signature sounds of Janis is fuzzed-out stonery bass that lives side by side with razor sharp noisy guitar riffs and a melancholic yet angry voice; All held together by manic and thunderous drumming.
Janis will present their brand new single „Not For You“ – a protest song against police brutality; as an angry cry against abuse of power and those who cowardly hide behind their uniforms and badges.
